An owl has given up his sight in order to gain infinite wisdom. In the process, some of his feathers and his beak were transformed into pure gold. He will never know his worth, for he will never be able to see the physical change. With infinite knowledge however, he is already more valuable than the gold could ever make him.

Plaster, gold leaf, pine cones, bark, and leaves have all been combined to create a mask that resembles an owl’s face.
